Important information to consider when selecting a medical transportation company

  • How long has this company been in business? We have been in operation since 2008, surpassing 16+ years of service in our industry.
  • Does the company hire contracted employees or full-time employees who have passed a comprehensive criminal and driving background screening? We do not utilize contract employees. Every employee is a hired, company employee who undergoes a comprehensive criminal and driving background screening.
  • Does the company own its own vehicles or broker trips to outside vendors? Eastern Royal owns all our vehicles, and we conduct all our trips.
  • Is there a minimum age to travel? Yes, the minimum age to travel is 21 years old.
  • Is there a maximum weight restriction? Yes, the passenger cannot exceed 280 pounds.

What to expect when you call

We aim to express our values the moment you call to inquire about our services. We realize that many customers are not familiar with non-emergency long-distance medical transportation, and it is important to us that every family can make an informed decision.

A customer service representative will do their best to help you understand our long-distance medical transportation services and how they relate to your transportation needs. If we believe you are better off choosing an alternative method such as air ambulance or ground ambulance, we will be the first to let you know.

Who staffs the medical transport vehicles?

Our medical staff comes from a wide range of medical backgrounds. We specifically hire personnel such as EMTs and Paramedics due to their extensive experience in the medical transportation service industry. We utilize a two-member team on each transport vehicle.

The medical team on your long-distance transport vehicle is responsible for driving, diaper changing, assisting with prescribed medications, maintaining feeding tubes, and supplying previously prescribed oxygen.

How our vehicles are equipped for safety and comfort

Our non-emergency medical transport vehicles are customized to support your safety and comfort needs. Vehicles allow clients to complete transport lying down or sitting up and include comprehensive maintenance plans, rear air conditioning, electrical outlets, and more.
